Infiniti the luxury brand built by Nissan is now looking to the future for global growth. They will be the first global car brand to have a headquarters in Hong Kong. But they are still viewed as a latecomer to China, with production starting some time in 2014. Infiniti’s goal is to rise there sales from being 3 percent of Chinas luxury car market to 10 percent of the market by 2016.
At the moment most Infiniti vehicles are made inJapan. But Nissan plans to localize production for the United States, Europe, andChina. This will help with growth and help avoid foreign exchange risks. Just in China there is a 25 percent tariff put on imported vehicles, putting these car companies at a disadvantage.
Carlos Ghosn Nissan’s president and chief executive told reporters after the opening ceremony in Hong Kong, “We know it’s going to be a competition and it’s going to be tough, but at the same time it’s an open business with a lot of growth to come.”
So it looks like a hard but promising future for this luxury brand. But well we are living in the present come see what Bill Dodge Infiniti has to offer you today.
