On Friday June 29th the chairman of BMW Norbert Reithofer andToyota president Akio Toyoda took to the stage in the home town ofBMW. This was to announce a very smart and strategic partnership between the to car companies. This is very exciting for the future of both companies sense they will be collaborating to develop better fuel cell technology, electric vehicle architecture, and an all new sports car.

This collaboration started back in March when BMW agreed to supply there 1.6L and 2.0L for Toyota’s European lineup, and also the two automakers joined originally to develop the next-generation of lithium-ion battery cells. And now they have taken there partnership to a whole new level.
The most exciting aspect of this new partnership is the talk of an all new sports car. Although the details on exactly what it will look like or whose badge will be representing this new sports car is unclear it is sure to be something that bring car enthusiast flocking to get the first look.
